Tiff will make fun of me always saying work is busy, but we have movies at work that are free for anyone to watch. Being always behind on movies I finally decided to watch Garden State today while I worked. She scolded me for ruining the experience of the movie tho hehe.
I wasn’t sure what to expect since no one has given me a good synopsis of the movie before, but it really is a good movie. It’s so random and funny. You gotta love the chacters! Natalie Portman’s character is so full of life, and the scrubs guy (I finally figured out I knew him from Scrubs a quarter of the way in) is so…lost and his body movements and facial expressions are so…like him. Even his messed up friends in his weird little town had different dimensions to them that weren’t always apparent.
I would like to say that this movie is about a guy going home for the first time in a long time for his mom’s funeral, but it’s not about that at all. I think it’s about life, and finding yourself and is just good. I’m glad Tiff owns it :Þ
