“The biggest problem is my butt hurts. Is that normal?”
Yes, Mr. Edwards it is normal…and I am suffering from the same.
Since I had to work today, I had decided ahead of time that today I would ride the darn bike home.
After doing some research online and finding this really useful PDF showing bike paths available from the VTA I plotted another course home that would not take me along the death trap that is El Camino.
Even though the overall distance was a bit longer the ride was a lot more enjoyable this time around. Going along a bike path is a lot more enjoyable than dodging traffic.
Not to mention I didn’t inhale an insect this time. The ride still took about 45 mins which means I was only going about 10 mph, but it felt a lot better this time and I don’t think I’ll be having a sore bum tomorrow, Huzzah!
Still no time for a big update, but here’s a small one.
After a lot of looking around for a cheap mountain bike for Tiff we finally found something that was pretty good today.
After driving over to Milpitas we met up with a really nice guy who sold us a Specialized Hardrock with a 15″ frame. It also came with some upgraded shocks and grip shifters. I don’t think she’ll be outgrowing this bike for a while so if you see us riding around wave. I’ll try to post up pics if I ever get time.
Just got back from watching Transformers. I will start by saying there’s actually a decent story, granted it has its moments of cheese. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I really enjoyed myself.
Part way into the movie I noticed that I recognized some of the lines in the movie. It was then that I realized the movie was based loosely on the original Transformers CARTOON MOVIE (which, if you’re my age you used to watch religiously). Without giving away too much I will say that they did a good job translating that into a live action movie.
I know some purists will complain about some of the changes made to the original Transformers, but you’ve got to keep up with the times and the cars of the 80s aren’t the cars of today. They did a great job translating the characters to today’s world. I also liked that they kept the original personalities of the Autobots and tried to shine that when possible. Unfortunately, they didn’t seem to spend as much time with the Decepticons.
All in all…AWESOME…what are you waiting for…go see it…GO GO GO! AUTOBOTS…ROLL OUT!
