It’s times like this I’m proud to be a Golden Bear…and somewhat not proud that I’m so proud of this hahaha

I went in for an eye checkup a few weeks ago.

Still 20/20. Hate me =)

Haven’t blogged in a while, and it is my pleasure to blog the union of my good friend Mike Ho and his gf =)

After a surprise announcement to all of us, Mr. and Mrs. Ho were officially married last Friday.

This of course means mini jiu xi time. Mike’s parents were up from Irvine and Mari’s mom flew in from Japan. After double checking that Tiff and I wouldn’t be the odd group out we decided to join them at the banquet. It was an interesting mix of people there, Mike’s parents and their long time friends, Mari’s mom and some of Mari’s friends, Steve and I were also there with Aja and Tiff, so everone had their mini clique.

Mike must have had the roughest time sitting in the middle. Chinese on his right, Japanese on his left, and English from ahead.

At one point everyone was chatting when Mari mentioned an old story that I had forgotten. She mentioned that I also knew some Japanese and began to tell a story of how I had once spoken to her on the phone when they were still dating back in college. Much to my horror she recounted how I taught her how to say hentai in English…Pervert. Then came the slightly awkward silence, in which I tried to bring Mike into the conversation. He respectfully said it was all me.
